FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: device comprises a light filter unit 9, an information photodetector 7. The device is provided with a microcontroller 6, an analog-to-digital converter 11, an illumination unit 3 comprising LEDs 4 connected to an illumination control unit 5 that is connected to the microcontroller 6. The photodetector 7 is provided with photodiodes 8, the spectral sensitivity region of each of which corresponds to one of the preset colours of the marking symbols. The photodetector 7 is connected in series with the microcontroller 6. A cylindrical object 1, with marking symbols 2 on its side surface in the form of transverse rings with a previously selected colour, is progressively advanced along its longitudinal axis by hand or on a conveyor near the lighting unit 3. When the object 1 reaches the pre-calculated position on the microcontroller 6, a signal arrives. From the microcontroller 6, through the brightness control circuit 5, a signal is sent to the lighting unit 3 to turn on the LEDs 4 divided into groups. In this case, each of the groups of LEDs 4 is tuned to emit a beam of light with a specific wavelength, i.e., a predetermined colour. The cylindrical object 1 passes by the illumination unit 3. The marking symbols 2 are illuminated simultaneously by several beams of monochromatic light, each of which has a wavelength corresponding to the colours used in the marking symbols 2.
EFFECT: acceleration of the identification of moving cylindrical objects marked with rings of a given colour.
