SUBSTANCE: technical result of method of conversion of period-modulated alternating voltage into parallel code is achieved due to aggregate of operations of measurement of isolated period and determination of its code value. Device implementing this conversion has information input 1, first counter 2, unit 3 of shift registers, parallel register 4 for information storage, AND gate 5, pulse former 6 and unit 7 of period measurement which includes clock pulse generator 8, second and third counters 9 and 10 functionally intercoupled.
