HEPATOPROTECTIVE PREPARATION AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING SAME Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: this hepatoprotective preparation includes alcoholic extract of saffron (Crocus sativus), rhizomes and roots of elecampane (Inula helenium), roots of yellow gentian, common thyme, hexaflorous estragol, and Rosa canina and Crataegus fruits. Disclosed preparation exhibits pronounced hepatoprotective activity and matches already known silibor, medicine of vegetational origin, effective in treatment and prevention of hepatitis. Maximum effectiveness is displayed by disclosed preparation when applied to alcoholically injured liver and it surpasses silibor in this respect. This medicinal preparation is prepared by dissolving above vegetational stock in alcohol (ratio: 1:(10 -15) three times (for two hours at a time) at temperature of 50 to 70 C, admixing thus prepared extracts and then filtering them off.
