FIELD: machine building; laser welding, in particular, laser-based machines for cutting flat blanks. SUBSTANCE: machine is provided with two lasers, a table for placing blanks to be treated, positioner for moving the cutter in mutually perpendicular directions, an optical system. The optical system has a mechanism which controls the cross-section of each laser beam and ensures the coaxial summation of energy generated by the two beams. It also concentrates the intensity of beams in the various points according to the depth of cutting. The machine under review can also be used for cutting thick wooden bars.
