FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of hybrid laser-arc welding of thick-walled large diameter pipes, in particular, to welding longitudinal welds of a molded cylindrical billet in the production of welded pipes from sheet steel with a strength class up to X120 inclusive and with a wall thickness up to 50 mm. Edges of the pipes to be welded are affected with an electric arc, then with a laser beam, and an electric arc. In this case, the laser beam is directed using an optical system consisting of successively located sources of laser radiation, a collimating mirror with a focal length of 130–240 mm and a focusing lens with a focal length of 500–1,000 mm.
EFFECT: technical result is to obtain a high-quality weld of thick-walled large-diameter pipes from high-strength steel grades, ensuring a high level of toughness of at least 80 J/cm2 at a test temperature of 40 °C on a U-shaped and V-shaped concentrators.
