FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: two composition components are mixed. One component contains mixture of oligovinyl- and oligohydrideorganosiloxanes with total molecular mass of (3-10)˙103, and in the other component - oligovinylorganosiloxane with molecular mass up to 1000, and platinum hexachloride. Total content of vinyl groups amounts to 25-28%. Mass ratio of the first and second components is 10:1. Mixture is filtered with 0.22-mcm filter and cured in mold of leucosapphire at 175 C for 25 min. Lenses are placed in vacuum chamber which is evacuated to pressure of 103-1,0 PA and treated with radiation of resonance xenon lamp with wave length of 123-196 nm at radiation dose of 3˙1017-1018 quantum/sq.cm. Then, lenses are placed in dry hermetic packing and subjected to gamma treatment up to dose of 28 kGy. EFFECT: increased process efficiency by 3-5 times due to reduced time of modification, higher yield of satisfactory lenses according to their biological compatibility up to 90%, and higher lens resistance to laser radiation (area of damaged surface is reduced by 1000 times). 2 tbl
