After a stationary temperature has been reached, the increase in the specific electric resistance of the charge-diamond system, the equivalent charge volume and the increase in the volume of the growing diamond crystals are determined on the basis of the obtained relations. Then pressure is raised and the height of the reaction volume is reduced to the value calculated in advance, the volume of produced diamonds is determined and, as its preset value is reached, the process is discontinued.
