FIELD: engine engineering. SUBSTANCE: high pressure fuel pump comprises pump housing 1, plungers for free running supply and zero supply, valves 2, bushings 3,4, and correcting units 5. A groove made in bushing 3 spreads up to the top edge of the relief collar of valve 1. Delivery valves 2 with correcting units 5 are mounted inside the separate pump sections. The plungers of sections for free running supply are turned in the direction of increasing fuel supply. When the engine operates at the free running regime and under load, valves 2 received in bushings 3 lift somewhat and fed fuel to injections under correction. In so doing, the plungers for free running supply is turned inside these sections so that to increase supply. EFFECT: improved design. 2 dwg
