METHOD OF AND DEVICE FOR HEATING AND ACTUATING LIQUID SYSTEMS Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

Abstract RU 2170850 C2

FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: according to proposed invention, heat-transfer agent is heated by fuel burner in closed space of exhaust manifold, engine is warmed up and started and then heat-transfer agent is heated by engine exhaust gases. Owing to the fact that heat-transfer agent is heated and gauge pressure in agent is built, agent is pumped through liquid system, for instance, cooling system, and pressure and heat pulses of heat-transfer agent at pumping are as volumetric impulse pump in other liquid system, for instance, fuel system by acting onto flexible service tank of fuel system. Device for actuating liquid systems has closed space with heat-transfer agent and circulation branch pipes with bypass valves. Closed space communicates with engine cooling system to provide possibility of transmission of pressure and heat pulse to other liquid systems of engine through flexible spaces of their service tanks. EFFECT: simplified design of heaters and actuating systems of engine. 5 cl, 2 dwg
