FIELD: electric machine engineering. SUBSTANCE: asynchronous electric machine has thin-walled shield 1 mounted in bore of stator 2 and attached to frame 3. Metal shield 1 is cementing over length of magnetic circuit 4 of stator with the use of glass cloth, its edges are welded to frame 3 of stator which results in enhanced operational reliability. EFFECT: enhanced operational reliability of electric machine by way of provision for operation of thin-walled shield under effects of external pressure acting on it from space of stator. 2 dwg
