FIELD: electric melting. SUBSTANCE: device for electric melting of sample quantities of metals and alloys has vacuum chamber 1 housing rod cathode 2 anchored on current lead-in. Current lead-in is encapsulated into insulating shield fabricated in the form of flanges 5 and 6 and shell 7. Cathode is mounted in hole of flange 6 through bushing 10 made from asbestos cement. Anode 11 is produced in the form of copper disc-crystallizer with recessions to place samples 12 and 14. EFFECT: improved melting efficiency. 10 cl, 1 dwg
