FIELD: avoidance of formation of scale on walls of heat-exchange apparatus in chemical industry, metallurgy and power engineering. SUBSTANCE: arranged in steel housing are cassettes having assemblies made of active magnetic elements which are secured on steel plates with their plane parallel to flow of liquid; even magnetic elements of the assembly are made of thin-sheet iron, thus reducing the hydraulic resistance of apparatus and simplifying construction at maximum gradient and volume of magnetic field.
