FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: large television screen is assembled of picture tubes whose surfaces are covered with light-guide plates made of light guides; lenses are installed between picture-tube surfaces and input ends of flexible light guides; light guides positioned above each lens are assembled in bundle; each lens turns image being projected through 180 deg. and output ends assembled in bundle are turned through same angle in opposite direction. Each line is covered by 1/20 to 1/15 of picture tube surface. Each light guide bundle may turn into common bundle connected to input jack of flat screen that functions as frame for mounting output light guides. Provision is made for eliminating dark fringes between picture-tube screens.
EFFECT: improved quality of light accumulation and transfer from picture tube phosphor to large screen surface.
