FIELD: linear electric drives. SUBSTANCE: linear electric motor has toroidal ferromagnetic poles, frame 1, butt-end members 2, shorting-out members 3 with nonmagnetic inserts 4 inbetween that embrace magnetizing coil 5, and also armature incorporating core 6 that carries poles in the form of ferromagnetic disks 7 separated by nonmagnetic disks 8. Toroidal members 1-4 and 10 of stator have through radial slit and disks 7-9 of armature have same radial slit diametrically opposite to stator slit. EFFECT: eliminated axial asymmetry of stator-to-armature interaction forces. 1 dwg
