FIELD: casting of blanks. SUBSTANCE: method involves casting of blanks, cutting them into specified lengths, cooling to pressing temperature, and pressing through the hole in the pressing die. Novelty resides in that casting is carried out with periodical drawing of blank from mold 1. In the course of drawing a part of the blank is placed into the container of press 22 while between drawing operations said part of the blank is cut off with knives 23 and transferred complete with the container for pressing. Said pressing process is conducted in the course of drawing, intervals between drawing operations, and cutting. The device comprises casting installation provided with mold 1, secondary cooling unit with shoes 2, 3, mechanism for drawing the blank from the mold, and deforming installation. The device has also turntable 8 with drive. The deforming installation is made as one or more presses. The turntable has at least two containers 19, 22 and shears 23 secured on the casting axis. The axles of the casting installation, turntable and presses may be vertical and horizontal. EFFECT: wider technological capabilities. 5 cl, 3 dwg
