FIELD: arc welding. SUBSTANCE: gas is fed into circular accumulating chamber 2 of housing 1 through channel 4 of union 3. Gas passes through porous partition 8, porosity 0.2-0.3, to nozzle 5 with turbulence intensity of 0.5% in range of flow out speeds at outlet hole 7 equal 0.25-2.0 m/s, at ratio of length of accumulating chamber 2 to diameter of channel 4 greater than 3 and ratio of areas of cross section of channel 4 to accumulating chamber 2 equal to 0.1-0.15. Torch is simple in design, has small overall dimensions and provides adequate quality of shielding of weldpool at outlet of electrode from cut 7 of nozzle 5 to 25 mm. EFFECT: enhanced quality of shielding. 3 dwg
