FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices intended for electric arc welding in atmosphere of protective gases in wind. Proposed device comprises torch with pack of hair sieves 3 and confuser nozzle 2 with generator representing a biasymptotic parabola, welding current source and protective gas efflux rate controller. Said controller comprises wind speed transducer 4, two integrating amplifiers 5, 6, memory device 7, adder 13, two correcting amplifiers 10, 11, arc current transducer 9, electrode stick-out distance setting device 12, ambient temperature gage 8, protective gas efflux rate controller 14, protective gas efflux maximum rate controller 17, logical NO 16 and logical AND 15.
EFFECT: automatic control of protective gas efflux rate, reliable protection at whatever wind speeds.
