FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: used as binding agent in pelletizing iron ore concentrate is amorphous-siliceous rock. Addition of ground rock to mixture in the amount of 0.5-2.0% of concentrate mass makes it possible to produce pellets with improved metallurgical properties. In this case, fully excluded from the process is use of expensive and difficulty available alkali bentonite. Perfect binding and strength properties of amorphous-siliceous rock are accounted for nature of its formation - presence in certain amount of clay, carbonate and zeolite components (20-40; 5-25 and 5-10%, respectively). EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 tbl
