FIELD: preparation of metallurgical raw materials in ferrous metallurgy, namely production of iron ore pellets.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of adding binder to charge; mixing charge components and then palletizing them. Binder is added during two stages divided by interval 30 - 90 min. At first stage bentonite is added in quantity consisting of 30 -80% of its content in binder; at second stage remained doze of bentonite and polymeric material are added in the form of bentonite-polymeric composition. Inter-polymeric composition may be added as polymeric material.
EFFECT: lowered consumption of binder for pelletizing due to its separate addition to charge, improved quality of pellets, increased content of iron in pellets.
