FIELD: electronics. SUBSTANCE: photoelectric device has preamplification chamber incorporating glass shell with photocathode on inner surface and luminescent screen which design and positioning provide for collection of photoelectrons from photocathode and photoelectric multiplier having optical contact with luminescent screen of preamplification chamber. Novelty of device lies in manufacture of glass shell of preamplification chamber in the shape of mushroom. Apart from this all glass elements of structure located in path of radiation from luminescent screen to photocathode of photoelectric multiplier are manufactured from glass having high transmission factor in short-wave region of spectrum and biggest part of glass shell is produced from low-packground glass.
