FIELD: medicine; traumatology; orthopedics. SUBSTANCE: method involves modelling the head of metacarpal or metatarsal bone in the form of a mushroom having its base near the proximal end of the bone. A canal is formed in spongy substance of the distal part of the metacarpal or metatarsal bone corresponding in form to the mushroom base. The base is introduced into the canal.
