FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: method involves interaction of magnesium with a mixture of ethyl chloride, tetraethoxysilane and organotrichlorosilane in toluene medium at 50-100 C following by hydrolysis of prepared mixture of ethyl-substituted silanes, toluene distillation off, catalytic rearrangement of hydrolysis products and distillation for fractions. Phenyltrichlorosilane, dichlorophenyltrichlorosilane, γ-trifluoropropyltrichlorosilane or a mixture of these compounds with methyltrichlorosilane were used as a source of organotrichlorosilane.
