The filter is a kind of two beveled plates distanced from each other to form a slit. One of the plates has admission ports. The unit also has a mechanism for lifting and bringing down filters; there is also a mechanism for opening and closing plates. A ring type chamber for removing the cake is located above the molten pool. Branch pipes of vacuum line with shutters are tangentially located in the chamber.
