FIELD: metal cutting. SUBSTANCE: tool has a holder with a cutting tip attached to it. On the side of the cutting tip the holder has a recess, in which an insert is installed for turning. The conjugating surfaces of the recess and insert are made on an Archimedean spiral path. The cutting tip is installed on the insert and is engageable with a bearing member located on the holder, and the insert has holes for the wrench. The insert may be made of a highly compounded composite material with spatial reinforcement. EFFECT: improved design. 2 cl, 3 dwg
