FIELD: machining. SUBSTANCE: cutting tool has holder, cutting tip secured by means of attachment mechanism consisting of strap clamp whose working part is engageable with cutting tip and chip breaker provided with longitudinal groove and spring-loaded relative to cutting tool holder providing for reciprocating. Cutting tool is provided with supporting plate. Chip breaker is mounted for motion along cutting tool head axis. Working part of strap clamp is located in above-mentioned groove and is engageable with this groove in extreme positions. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 2 cl, 3 dwg
