FIELD: mecanical engineering; lapping machines. SUBSTANCE: device has a spindle unit having lower ring- shaped lapping disk 1 and lower coupler 11, planetary toothed actuating mechanism, loading mechanism. Upper coupler 18 having upper ring-shaped lapping disk 16 is hingedly mounted at the end of rod 19 of the loading mechanism. There is through duct 24 in the loading mechanism connected with a suspension supply unit. Cavity 13 is made in the upper end of lower coupler 11, cylindric belt 14 being mounted outside. The coupler cavity communicates by means of ducts 15 with the space above the cylindric belt. Ring-shaped capillary space is between the cylindric belt and internal cylindric surface of the upper ring-shaped lapping disk. Disks with soft deformable coating are usable in the machine. EFFECT: wider range of applications in processing articles made of brittle materials. 1 dwg
