FIELD: railway construction and repair machines. SUBSTANCE: device for placing tools frame on rails of railway track has two probes for engagement with rail secured on tools frame for turning in direction of device longitudinal symmetry plane; probes can be moved across device by means of drive. Tools frame rests on wheels with flanges and is connected with drives to provide displacement in vertical plane. Drives are formed by two series-connected power cylinders and are coupled with frame of track machine. Drives to move wheels across device are also provided.
