FIELD: geophysical investigations. SUBSTANCE: method for prospecting of mineral ore bodies consists in rock sampling on investigated area and analysis of the taken samples for content of ore and petrogenic elements, revealing and delineation of anomalies containing high concentration of ore elements, revealing of geochemical barriers to which those anomalies are confined. Considered as barriers are barriers between four rock-forming elements - potassium, sodium, magnesium and calcium within geochemical barriers which are revealed by ratio between these elements with the use of densified research network. Samples are taken additionally to subject them to petrographic analysis and analysis of ore elements. On the basis of petrographic analysis of those samples, metasomatic barriers are mapped and their types are determined. Content of ore elements detected in additionally taken samples are used for calculation of associations of ore elements typical to revealed types of metasomatic barriers, and occurence of mineral ore bodies is determined by ubnormal values of ore elements on the basis of calculated association typical to the given type of metasomatic barrier.
