FIELD: production of granules from melt metal. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of feeding one or more streams of a melt metal into a bath of a cooling liquid in a reservoir for providing a uniform flow of the cooling liquid from one lateral side of the reservoir with mean rate of the flow, being less, than 0.1 m/s. A height of the flow of the cooling liquid is equal to a distance from a surface of the bath till its depth, where granules have hardened surfaces; a width of the flow of the cooling liquid being more, than a width of the stream or streams of melt metal, being fed. A length of the stream of the melt metal from its outlet of a chute till the surface of the bath of the cooling liquid is less, than 100 diameters of that stream. To water, being used as the cooling liquid, may be added a tenzide in quantity up to 500 ppi, an antifreeze in quantity up to 10%, NaOH- up to 5%, matters, changing its surface tension and viscosity. A temperature of water, being fed to the reservoir, consists (5-95)C. It is possible to use liquid hydrocarbon, preferably kerosine as the cooling liquid.
