METHOD OF PREPARING CATALYST FOR COPOLYMERIZATION OF ETHYLENE WITH BUTENE-1 Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: plastic industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves interaction of magnesium chloride with titanium tetrachloride and diethylaluminium chloride. Preliminary, spraying drying of magnesium chloride in ethanol containing 40 mas. p. magnesium chloride per 100 mas. p. ethanol is carried out, and magnesium chloride particles were prepared which contain 10 wt.-% hydroxyl-group with size from 0.5 to 10 mcm. Then prepared magnesium chloride particles were suspended in titanium tetrachloride, suspension is heated up to 100 C for 30 min, and solid residue containing 2.3 wt.-% bound titanium and 2.5 wt. -% hydroxyl-group is separated and washed. Then prepared residue is interacted with diethylaluminium chloride in the medium of inert hydrocarbon solvent at atomic ratio aluminium:titanium = 7.8, at 70 C for 2 h. EFFECT: improved method of catalyst preparing.
