FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: (co)polymers of ethylene were synthesized by polymerization of ethylene or its copolymerization with alpha-olefins in suspension in the presence of catalyst that involves 60-128 mole p. p. trialkylaluminium, 1 mole p. trialkylaluminium and 1 mole p. solid component. Solid component is obtained by magnesium chloride ethanol solution spraying, interaction of magnesium chloride with titanium tetra-C₁-C₈-alcoholate and C₁-C₂₀-alkylaluminium chloride followed by isolation of the solid product. Magnesium chloride has 22% hydroxyl groups (as measured for ethanol), particle size is 3-100 mcm at mean size 15 mcm, apparent density is 0.3 g/mm, specific surface is 17 m²/g and total porosity is 75 vol. %. Reagent is suspended in liquid hydrocarbon solvent and C₁-C₅-aliphatic alcohol and titanium C₁-C₈-alcoholate were added to suspension at mole ratio alcohol : magnesium chloride = 1.5:1; magnesium chloride : alcoholate = 1:1. Then suspension is heated to 80-120 C, formed homogeneous solution is cooled and particles in suspension were obtained; then C₁-C₂₀-alkylaluminium chloride is added at ratio chlorine atoms in alkylaluminium chloride : total amount of alkoxyl groups = 0.75:1 and the obtained suspension is heated.
