FIELD: ultrasonic flaw detection. SUBSTANCE: displacements of diagnosed surface both less than length of laser radiation wave and exceeding this value are registered. Characteristic features of invention amount to following: automatic transition from one range of measurement of amplitudes of ultrasonic displacements of surface to another one with value of length of wave of used laser radiation being boundary between them; original design of two-channel laser interferometer with minimal light losses in each channel; increased sensitivity of measurements due to use of differential processing of registered values and enhanced signal-to-noise ratio. EFFECT: increased precision of measurements and expanded range of fixed amplitudes of ultrasonic waves. 3 dwg
