FIELD: corrosion testing of metals. SUBSTANCE: process consists in oxidation of zirconium alloy in oxidizing atmosphere at selected temperature for the course of time necessary for formation of oxide film, in its placement into bath with auxiliary electrode and electrolyte carrying ions of precipitated metal, in passing of current between auxiliary electrode and alloy for precipitation of metal on local imperfect parts oxide film. Tendency to nodule corrosion is found visually or by concentration of local imperfect parts of oxide film decorated with precipitated metal. EFFECT: increased precision and expansion of its application to large-scale structures produced from zirconium alloys thanks to cathode precipitation metal on local imperfect parts of oxide film formed in advance. 1 dwg
