SUBSTANCE: tower comprises casing 1 with air inlet ports 2 in the bottom part, water-collecting basin 5, draw-out device in the form of combined converging tube and diffuser shells 7 ad 8 with fan 6 installed at their joint, drop trap 10 disposed above casing 1, horizontal water distributor 3 located between casing 1 and draw-out device and provided with nozzles 4 directed at sprinkler 11 installed underneath above the upper edge of air inlet ports 2, and additional air inlet ports 9 located in casing 1 between water distributor 3 and sprinkler 11. The latter is installed at such a distance from water distributor 3 which is 0.75-0.9 the distance between water distributor 3 and upper edge of air inlet ports. EFFECT: improved design. 1 dwg
