FIELD: power industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat engineering and may be used for air-cooling of recycled water of CHP, NPP and industrial enterprises. Fan cooling tower includes a housing rectangular in the cross section with air inlet openings at its bottom, the housing is installed on water-collecting basing on which installed is a fan unit containing diffuser in the form of convergent-divergent shell, in which placed is a blade wheel which shaft is connected to a drive of rotation; the housing is provided with water distributing collector with water-spray nozzles, sprayer, designed as several identical units assembled from vertical corrugated sheets, all these devices being arranged successively downwards. At the housing bottom above water surface of water-collecting basing there installed is a surface cooling unit made from corrugated sheets arranged parallel to movement of cooling air, which upper edges are on the same level with lower edges of air-intake openings; width of slots between corrugated sheets of the surface cooling unit is less than width of slots between corrugated sheets of sprayer units, but it is more than width of slots between corrugated sheets of the surface cooling unit upon their flooding, and outer surface of all corrugated sheets is covered with hydrophilic material.

EFFECT: enlargement of area of heat-and-mass transfer between air and cooled air in fan cooling tower.
