FIELD: lighting engineering. SUBSTANCE: burner of optically transparent material with tight-sealed electrodes is filled with inert gas, buffer and additives to provide it with halogenides of emitting metals. As specified additives in lamp there are used halogenides of indium and bismuth in the amount from 0.15-to 5.0 and from 0.3 to 0.8 μmole/cm3 correspondingly, mercury in the amount from 0.5 to 45.0 μmole/cm3, in the capacity of inert gas argon under pressure from 1.33 to 6.65 kPa is used. Halogenide of antimony in the amount from 0.5-to 15.0 μmole/cm3 is used as buffer and in the capacity of buffer and inert gas xenon under pressure from 13.3 to 200.0 kPa is used. Lamp is additionally injected with halogenides of gallium in the amount from 0.25 to 5.0 μmole/cm3. EFFECT: improved working efficiency of lamp. 5 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl
