FIELD: electronics. SUBSTANCE: invention is used in lamps of photopolymerizing action. Metal halogen lamp has burner of optically clear material with electrodes sealed vacuum-tight, lamp is filled with inert gas, mercury and additives to provide burner with halogenides of radiating metals. In filling composition there are used halogenides of silver, copper, zinc in following proportion, μmole/cm3: mercury 1.5-45.0; additives for provision of burner with halogenides of silver 0.5-12.0; copper 0.3-9.0; zinc 0.2-8.0. Pressure of inert gas is kept within 1.33-39.9 kPa. EFFECT: enhanced operational efficiency. 1 tbl, 2 dwg
