FIELD: electronic industry; data storage devices. SUBSTANCE: disk cartridge 1 has main casing receiving optical recording medium, for example, optical disk 5 or an optomagnetic disk having opening 8 to make access to the optical recording medium, shutter 12 to open or close opening 8, return spring for making the shutter move in the direction of closing the opening, member 19 to close the shutter and keep it in the position causing the opening to close. Groove 23 giving the way to introduce a member for opening or closing shutter 12 has an open end on the side of the main cartridge casing in perpendicular to the direction of sliding of the shutter. Groove 23 runs along frontal side 9 of the main cartridge casing in parallel to the direction of sliding of shutter 12. The free end of member 19 is partially brought out into groove 23 to enable the disk cartridge to be loaded into the section for loading cartridge into the device for recording and playing back in the direction of sliding of the shutter being the inserting or loading direction.
