FIELD: foundry engineering. SUBSTANCE: metal feeds into crystallizer, slag mixture is fed to a metal meniscus in crystallizer, crystallizer is set in reciprocated motion, crystallizer walls are cooled with running water, ingot is supported and guided in secondary cooling zone with the help of split rollers with auxiliary bearings, ingot surface is cooled with a cooler, sprayed from injectors, slag mixture discharge in crystallizer is adjusted and rollers displacement regarding processing axle is measured. Auxiliary bearing displacement is detected in process of continuous casting. When displacement exceeds point of 0,0005-0,006 of ingot thickness slag mixture discharge in crystallizer is reduced for 10-40 per cent of working value. Slag mixture discharge increases when further displacement of auxiliary bearing reduces up to 0,0001-0,002 of ingot thickness. Under given conditions bearing displacement is measured at the distance equal to 0,5-5,0 of ingot thickness from the bottom side of crystallizer. EFFECT: enhanced quality. 1 tbl
