FIELD: conveying installations. SUBSTANCE: conveyor belt has textile and/or metal reinforcing inserts coated with rubber or rubber-like plastic. The belt has five zones in the transverse direction, a middle zone encompassed symmetrically by two side zones, and two outer zones which are disposed in the hose-and-belt conveying installation to form a hose-like cross section in a closed state. The transverse bending stiffness of the belt in the side zones is lower than it is in the middle zone. Both outer zones in the closed working state overlap each other and form an oval cross section with the other zones. In the overlapped portion the belt has a higher transverse-bending stiffness than it is in the side zones. EFFECT: improved design. 11 cl, 2 dwg
