FIELD: production of commercial pure silicon. SUBSTANCE: used heat-insulating quartz fill of cathode assembly of electrolyzer for production of aluminium from cryolite- alumina melt of fraction 20-50 mm is mixed with solid carbon-containing reducers and crushed quartzite. Produce charge is loaded into electric arc furnace for melting. EFFECT: higher efficiency.
