FIELD: production of aluminium hydroxide. SUBSTANCE: method for production of aluminium oxide includes electroerrosion dispersion of aluminium in water with addition of carbon dioxide. Produced aluminium hydroxide suspension is subjected to ageing in alkali-ammonia medium with addition of 2-4 g of ammonia per liter of suspension of erosion products. Then, aluminium hydroxide is separated and calcined. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 tbl
