FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: silencer has all-welded cylindrical housing with inlet branch pipe and outlet openings, flat ring- shaped washers with slot passages, and flat ring shaped baffles arranged in the housing in series. The silencer is provided with a pipe mounted inside the housing to which the washers and baffles are secured. The slot passages made in the washers are constructed as rectangular expansion chambers which are combined into sectors, arranged concentrically and interconnected through openings. The lengths and diameters of the expansion chambers and openings increase in the direction from the center to periphery. The edges of the outer walls of the last expansion chambers with respect to the center of the expansion chambers in cross-section are arranged at a tangent to the outer edge of the ring- shaped baffles, the baffles being provided with centering projections. The pipe has longitudinal slots. The width of the slots is less than the width of the centering projections. The width of the projections is less than the width of the first expansions chambers. The first expansion chambers with respect to the center are arranged at the radius of the hollow defined by the centering projections. EFFECT: enhanced silencing. 3 cl, 4 dwg
