FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves regulating temperature at the end of rolling process by varying stand spacing. To do that, stands are switched off. As a result deformation of stands occurs and temperature at the end of rolling process is increased. Deforming force of these stands is transmitted to subsequent stands in the direction of rolling. Subsequent stands are switched on instead of switched off stands. EFFECT: improved quality of rolled product. 1 dwg
