FIELD: drying. SUBSTANCE: device for drying briquettes has drying chamber with base and heating members, chain conveyor with loop sections, suspensions for briquettes hinge-mounted on traction chains, driving and end sprockets, charging and discharging devices with inclined chutes, transportation device for dried briquettes; device has also bell-crank, cam made to spiral with radially oriented step in zone of maximum radius and kinematically coupled with driven sprocket shaft with ratio selected so that time required to let chain pass the path equal to suspension pitch is equal to time of one full turn of axle with cam; it has also twin disk roller. Suspensions for briquettes are made semi-circular, with bottom curved outwards and side walls in form of sectors curved inwards in their middle part symmetrically relative to longitudinal axis of conveyor and forming rectangular steps. Suspension bottoms are arranged close to each other at horizontal arrangement of traction chains, and bell-crank is hinge-mounted for turning in vertical plane; longer arm of bell-crank on its free end has bent down edge shaped to suit cross-section of briquette, and shorter arm is pointed upwards square to longer arm for engagement of its free end with cam for holding briquette on chute by bent off edge of bell-crank longer arm in its extreme lower position and providing free slipping of briquette along chute with bell-crank in extreme upper position. Disk roller is installed so that its part is arranged between twin sprocket for engagement of disks with suspension steps at rotation to provide their tilting into end sprocket and ensure slipping of briquettes off semi-round bottom to discharging device.
