FIELD: conveyor transport. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to screw conveyors and it can be used on conveyors of self-propelled vehicles, and feeders. Screw conveyor has carrying chute with semiround bottom, detachable cover, longitudinal shaft with screw surface and rectangular cross-section charge and discharge branch pipes. Cover of carrying chute is made in form of semicylinder with convex pointed upwards and radius of curvature equal to that of carrying chute bottom. Length of discharge branch pipe exceeds its width. Such design increased capacity of screw conveyor 1.5 times, minimum, at the same dimensions, screw pitch, shaft speed and practically the same metal usage at reduced specific energy consumption owing to reduced corrected coefficient of resistance to loose load motion along carrying chute of conveyor. EFFECT: enhanced operation, reduced cost and losses. 3 dwg
