FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: combined method for mining of coal seamseries includes opencast and underground mining of coal. In this case, underground mining of coal formations or their districts extending beyond the outlines of opencast mining field is started after opening of their extensions to under sediments or haulage horizons of earlier extracted sublevels by rock benches in overburden operations with use of working platform of benches in the capacity of airway levels and driving haulage (conveyer) horizons of underground work, either, from deeper benches of open pit, or by driving inclined working in formation extracted by underground method.
