FIELD: mining. SUBSTANCE: method for drainage of stoping block includes making unwatering holes in stoping block from the surface to carry out preliminary drainage. Then, mine workings are driven and extraction pillars are formed. Formed at angle to longitudinal axes of extraction pillars is drainage extraction pillar. One of outlining workings of drainage extraction pillar is driven along designed development workings. Drainage working is driven with lagging from long face of mined drainage extraction pillar parallel to the other outlining working through a value of bearing pressure zone. Upward holes are drilled from drainage working to draining hollow. Then, development workings are driven adjacent to mined drainage extraction pillar or leaving a pillar between them. EFFECT: higher efficiency, accelerated drainage, and excluded or considerably reduced risk of inrush of underground water into mine workings. 3 cl, 3 dwg
