FIELD: metallurgy industry. SUBSTANCE: raw material mix for manufacture of refractory materials from slag waste of aluminium production. Use is made of slag after secondary melting of metal, having the following composition, mass percent: aluminium oxide 40 to 60; magnesium oxide 5 to 35; aluminium 5 to 20; alumomagnesia spinel 5 to 20. The product synthesized from the above slag contains: Al₂MgO₄ 9- to 80% silicates 2 to 7% Al₂O₃ up to 5% EFFECT: enhanced quality.
