FIELD: metallurgic furnaces. SUBSTANCE: refractory mass contains (in wt %): melt material based on magnesium-alumina spinel and periclase; 5-15 corundum; 1-4 boric acid; and 1-4 complex boron-containing oxide with melting temperature 800-1300 C or refractory clay fraction less than 0.5 mm. Lining has following parameters: after thermal treating at 800 C compression strength 22.6-58.5 N/sq.mm, open porosity 21.2-23.4%; after thermal treating at 1150 C compression strength 28.5-71.3 N/sq.mm, open porosity 20.3-22.8%; after thermal treating at 1500 C compression strength 31.3-80.6 N/sq.mm and open porosity 18.6-21.8%.
